new sonos app released 7th May 2024 issues

Apart from the listed problems with music libraries, sleep,alarm, wifi channel options missing and Rova issues, I’ve noticed another, forgetting Sonos systems.This is when i leave my home system and go to work which we have Sonos, when i opened my app with the old app, this would seamlessly connect to the work system, then when i get home seamlessly connect to my home system and so on. Now the new app requires me to ‘join new system’ every time i go to work and come home. It doesn’t remember or seamlessly change between the 2 systems. I also tried this when going to my parents home and brothers who have Sonos. I am on their local networks and the same issue. I have to join their system, then i get home and have to join my system. Too many bugs on the new app, and Sonos should allow us to download the old app until they sort out all the problems. Im sure once the bugs are ironed out, this new app will be a better experience. I have noticed when it is working, it is quicker on connectio

New Sonos app - playing artist “top tracks” on Deezer

Hi,After searching for an artist on Deezer, one of the options available is to play their “top tracks”. On the old S2 app this worked fine. I could search for the artist, select “top tracks” and then “play” or “shuffle play”.On the new Sonos app, I can get to the artist “top tracks” on Deezer, but then it only appears to let me play one track at a time. I can play a track, but once that track is finished it won’t move on to the next one. It just stops playing anything.Is this user error, bug, or planned feature? Can you advise how I can play an artist’s top tracks on Deezer please?Thank you.

spotify on android not able to connect to sonos speakers

I have just recently gotten the sonos system n linked the arc, sub n sonos one to my sonos app on my android Samsung phone. I use Spotify and have no problem playing it via my phone, Windows laptop n desktop.The spotify app is able to detect the Sonos speakers, however it is not able to link to the speakers n play through it. It is all connected to the same WiFi network.Is there anything I am missing?

Music library gone from new app, where is it?

Maybe I’m an outlier, but as a Sonos customer since the days of the ZonePlayers and CR100 controllers, I have a huge music library on a Synology NAS that I use primarily; I am not a big user of these “services” that the new app seems to put an emphasis on. After foolishly updating my app last night I was able, after much time and effort, to find my music library and play a couple tunes as a test. Ok, it worked. None of my carefully curated album art displayed and so I figured tonight I’d be posting a message asking if anyone knew why that was. Instead, tonight in my app I find that my music library is gone, gone, gone. Can somebody please explain how to get it back? The gear icon for settings is strangely devoid of much in the way of settings, including anything regarding the music library. It doesn’t seem to be a “service” but still, I looked through several pages there until giving up. I have the Windows-based app and it still shows the music library path properly configured so I am

SUB showed as not registered

I noticed last night my SUB Gen3 wasn’t connected to my system anymore. I tried to add it back through hard reset but it is not working. I just keeps showing as “Not Registered” in my system. I tried to hardwire it directly to the router (and restarting it). No luck…was working fine before the app update. Thank you

Local Library is completely missing with app update

My S2 Android app updated itself overnight ( I thought I had turned auto update off but I guess not)Now I cannot see or play from my local library. Some of the items that were saved to favorites are there but greyed out. I’ve seen others complain about losing search for their libraries but mine is just gone. I saw one thread that mentioned having to locate the library as a “source” but I’m just not seeing it.When I talked to a support rep via chat, he told me that local library support is just gone for now. Is that really true? Can anyone who still can at least play songs from their library explain how to locate it on the android app?The only computer I have regular access to is a work-issued machine so installing the windows app isn’t an option.

No sound between TV and ARC since app update

I can no longer get any sound from my TV on my Sonos ARC since the app update. I can play music but nothing from the TV. It illustrates that sound is coming through but I can hear nothing. Any ideas

YouSee musik virker delvist ikke

Vi har nu i et stykke tid oplevet, at man ikke kan søge i YouSee musik, og pga noget kan min hustru browse og afspille sine favoritter mens jeg kan slet ikke noget. Dette foregår kun i Sonos app, dvs. den almindelige YouSee musik app virker for os begge. Vi har tjekket status for YouSee musik tjeneste og den var grøn, så alt bør fungere. Why is the new Sonos App crap?

How does the app keep getting worse and worse over time. It's too bad, I've had some of my Sonos speakers for around 10 years now. Even on a brand new phone the current app is not user friendly, missing functionality that it used to have. And removed the playlists I had. So disappointing given how great the whole experience used to be. The new update is much worse, missing basic functionality now, So irritated.

Need help troubleshooting Sonos Move downgrade to S1

I have tried to downgrade my Sonos Move to s1 multiple times. I follow the instructions on S2 to downgrade a product. The S2 app initially finds the Sonos moves and connects to it and then asks for permission to connect to Sonos moves temporary Wi-Fi network. I provide permission and then I get a notification that the app is unable to find Sonos move and suggest that I connected directly to my router via internet cable and try again (and the Sonos move does not have an Ethernet port). Very frustrating.

I think SONOS wants to get out of local music library support completely.

Has anyone else noticed that the support for playing local music files is incrementally just withering away? As someone who tends to buy music digitally (Bandcamp, Amazon etc) rather than stream, my entire reason (and many others’) for investing so deeply in the Sonos ecosystem is becoming moot.First, they removed the ability to play music stored on a mobile device. This was a big step down for me personally, because I tended to keep the ‘heavy rotation’ stuff in my collection on my phone, due to (relatively) limited storage space.It wound up sending me to my computer to manually divvy my collection into two folders (‘Heavy’ and ‘Light’ rotation). Not the end of the world, but still a pretty big inconvenience.Next, they recently disabled the ability to search for songs on a local music library. This was pretty awful and sent me to look for Sonos alternatives, despite the big investment. If you wanted to listen to your local music library, you had to manually navigate to it and brows
