Hi, I have 5 Sonos components in my house. Four of them are first generation and the other one is second generation. I used to have all of them grouped in order to listen music in all my house. That worked perfectly for many years, but from two months ago, the components are ungrouping and, of course, that immediately stops music reproduction. Has someone here experienced something similar? Is there a solution?

Hi,Hoping someone can answer a query around account security. As far as I can see the account we all use is only a single authentication. I’m hoping / wondering if there are any plans to change that by incorporating MFA?Does anyone ( Sonos or community ) know if this is going to be incorporated or is on a rollout in the future ?Thanks in advance !

Bell Canada Sagemcom 5689e router issue

I brought my 2 play 1 and play bar to my new house with a new bell sagemcom 5689e router and bought 3 era 100 to complete the set now, every time I loose power ( which happens weekly here ) my system doesn’t reconnect ive wired one play 1 to the router and it reconnects after a reboot the older models but not the Era 100ive spent countless hours on the phone with Sonos and nothing to do contacted Bell and they don’t want to change my router I cannot factory reset my eras every week , it doesn’t make sense ! any advices or tricks ?

Using Sub Mini for music and TV.

Hello. I have been using a single Era 300 to listen to music but have recently purchased a Sub Mini and Beam gen 2. My thinking was I could connect the sub to the Era 300 when listening to music and to the Beam when watching TV. This doesn't seem to be possible, though. The sub connects to ether the Era or Beam and can't be easily swapped. Does anyone have a solution, or any thoughts on how best to use this combination? Thank you in advance!

Just got an email from Sonos on the above topic. Not sure how it will affect me. All my music is stored on a memory stick attached to my router which is always on unlike my computer.Is this about to stop working?If so, what is the simplest way to set up my music library? Regards

beam gen

Hi everyone, I have an issue with my beam (gen 2) and I have no clue what to do, I connected it to my TCL tv with the supplied HDMI cable, and the audio sounded crispy, and then I realized it frequently goes bad... everything is good and the sound is clear and then it becomes muffled for short time(like someone put it in a box) and clears up again, this happens really frequently and hard to keep track of, I tried sending a recording to support and they said they couldn't hear anything wrong…what can I do? this is annoying and nothing helps... I tried factory reset and connecting using optical cable… The audio is good till 0:08 and turns good again at 0:25i uploaded the audio clip to http://sndup.net/gnn6(googled anonymous audio upload)

Sonos AMP speakers stopped playing music or surround.

Ive had an amp, soundbar and surround speakers working fne in the lounge. The speakers did play full music when music was playing and auto switched to surround when the TV was on. all good. But now there is no music or surround coming form the speakers. They are connected as i can hear the tone when i change the amps volume. Ive tried disconnecting the surrounds and re connecting and it says they are - but no sound. any thoughts on what i’m missing? thanks in advance.

I’ve recently had a new WiFi router. I have connected my Sonos One to the new network and enabled Alexa, Spotify, Amazon music etc. if I ask Alexa to play a radio station, it responds normally ….”playing Planet Rock from Rayo” for example, but then it doesn’t play anything.

Unable to set Sonos Era 100 as Alexa-enabled device in room/group using Alexa app

Today I’ve upgraded my two Sonos Ones with Sonos Era 100s. After adding Alexa to the speakers, I tried to go into the Alexa app to associate them with their respective rooms. I’m able to add them as the room speaker, but I am unable to set them as the Alexa device for that room (allowing for room-specific commands like “Alexa, turn off the lights”, etc).What’s weird is my Era 100s will show up under the Echo & Alexa devices section in the Alexa app, but they do not show up under Alexa-enabled devices when editing a room/group (see attached screenshots).I’ve reached out to Alexa support and they were largely unhelpful, they claimed that from their resources Alexa isn’t supported on the Sonos Era 100 (maybe their documentation hasn’t been updated since this is a brand new product?). So they left the conversation there even after showing them that Sonos clearly states Alexa built-in support for the Era 100.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Why Ask If A Sonos Era Series Speaker Will Out-Perform A Play1 or Sonos One/SL?

HelloThis is written not to discourage you from asking questions regarding Sonos speakers of any type. To the contrary it’s written to encourage you think about your question; then ask yourself if it’s one that will get an unbiased answer versus subjective opinions. Let’s begin...Since the release of the Sonos Era 300 and Era 100 series the question is asked “are they worth an upgrade from A Play:1, Sonos One/SL series and/or a Play:3 (*)”. You might notice that I sequenced the first three in a row and left the Play:3 last. I did that purposely by design.The transition from the Play:1 to the One series was mostly cosmetic along with the introduction of the soft touch controls. Sound characteristics did not change to a degree that would warrant an upgrade. Most would need the ears of a canine to perceive a noticeable difference. 😊 Expansion of the internal memory in the Sonos One/SL (Gen2) for future software enhancements was the driver to seriously consider upgrading.
